We had a great guide to take us through the museum and provide the history of perfume she was articulate and provided interesting commentary.
The mini perfume making was also great where we got to try recreate the perfume of the year. Thoroughly enjoyed but next time I’d prefer to do a longer perfume course to make a perfume of own choosing

My name is Jacqueline Spencer-Ward. I treated my family to your beautiful museum on 25th September at 10.40am. We were visiting Paris for a birthday celebration. Our guide had good English but her monotone, quiet and fast diction meant none of us followed the interesting information she was giving us. She spoke at such speed with no feeling my grandchildren, children and myself had no idea what she was saying. She needs assistance with her delivery and told to slow down so guests could all enjoy the experience. A truly beautiful interior and the perfumes are superb.

Informative class but felt a bit rushed. I would recommend a seating arrangement for persons taking the class. All in all, I would still recommend.

I loved everything about the workshop. It truly educated me about Perfume. I only experienced positivity. So, yes, I would highly recommend people to take this workshop if they truly love perfumes.

We were in Paris for a girls weekend to see Celine Dion and added it to our itinerary and it was a wonderful experience. We all loved it. The lead guide of the activity was great! Booking and showing up to the Museum was very easy, and the tour was pretty informative, with a fun workshop at the end. It was easily worth the price, and I would absolutely recommend it.

The Mini Perfume Workshop was a delightful distraction from travel stress at just the right time. After the workshop and the museum visit, my spouse and I were refreshed and relaxed. We found it very interesting to learn about the production of perfume, and to experiment with our own combinations of scent. The workshop was just the right length, and our guide was exceptionally kind and well informed about the perfume-making process.

Booking the workshop was quite easy to do, and there were no difficulties during the activity.

I highly recommend the activity. The price seemed exactly right for the amount of time spent. I hope to go again - perhaps when there is a new scent at the forefront. I can envision taking others to this workshop in the future - perhaps my granddaughters.

It’s a pretty small museum, but what they lack in size, they make up for in smell! The vintage bottles were my favorite part and definitely worth going to check out.

Our guide was super informative, fun and answered all of our questions. Thank you for having an English option available.

It was a fun experience and I would definitely love to come back and bring my mom. The perfume I mixed was a lovely fragrance. I also bought a small bottle of parfum in the shop.

My two teen girls and I did the mini perfume workshop and tour of the perfume museum. We loved it! It was the perfect amount of time and information. It was interesting and engaging. We loved making our own scent. We highly recommend this activity as something fun to do in Paris!!

We went with two early teenagers. All of us liked the information about the history of perfume, the ingredients and the practice of distinguishing scents and mixing the ingredients. Would have appreciated more time at choosing products buy to take home. Maybe even smaller bottles of perfume to buy as gifts. Good fun for each and every one of us.

This was a highlight of our week in Paris. Our guide was absolutely delightful. She made it fun and informative. And we loved getting to make our own perfume during the workshop (which was very reasonably priced). I would recommend this for anyone traveling to Paris, especially those with tweens!

There is not much of own mixing possibilities to make your own perfume which is disappointing for a creative teenager.

My Daughter, Mother, Sister and I booked this activity on our recent trip to Paris to celebrate our Mum's 80th Birthday.

It was wonderful, my husband that I had to drag, along with my 10 year old and 7 year old granddaughters who were excited to go. In the end even my husband was glad he attended, and we are planning a trip this spring to the factory.

This was a really fun activity for my eighteen year old daughter and myself. One hour was just the right amount of time. We learned a lot and had a great time making our own perfume. Thus was broken into three main components for us. It made sense that it was simplified for us. More would have been overwhelming. They do end the tour in the shop which I wish I had known because we had already made purchases in the shop and felt a bit trapped at the end.

We learned a lot! History, architecture, perfume. It was well worth the time and money spent. We loved the perfume we made.

Ayant fait l’atelier Eau de Cologne il y a quelques années j’ai été hyper déçue par cette activité : création d’une EDT en 15mn, visite du Musée éclair et autant de temps pour nous présenter les produits de la marque et même pas de réduction dans la boutique comme c’est le cas chez Aroma-Zone après un atelier. Je ne recommanderai pas cet atelier malgré toute l’affection et la fidélité que je porte à la marque.

The history of perfumery was very insightful, learnt lots of interesting facts and saw some great products from the past.
Our experience of making the perfume was a lot of fun, though we were only given three scents to use to create our own scent.
Whilst you walk away with a 15ml perfume that you create you can end up spending a lot more money once they finish showing you some of their other scents that Fragonard have created.
An overall great experience with my sisters' and a lovely way to spend an afternoon in Paris.

We visited - two adults and two teenagers - and really enjoyed the tour and workshop - super fun!

The facilitator of the course was extremely knowledgeable and she asked a few questions of the group, also. The museum is small but interesting. The time in the lab was a little short for me, I would have liked to spend a little longer creating the custom fragrance, but on the whole, it was very enjoyable visit.

I did not like the girls at the reception. They were not friendly. But I did like our tourguide. She was very nice and enthusiastic. She gave nice information and good tips. It was a lot of fun to experience. The american guests were loud and disturbed and delayed the workshop somewhat.

Fun workshop. Start with a tour of the small museum and history of parfumerie. The guide was very friendly and give great history.
Next the workshop, where you compose your own eau de toilette from the notes of one of their limited edition of the year. You learn the composition of each notes and the make your own blend by choosing your favorite notes. Every composition is unique. Great to do with friends and you leave with with a pretty generous travel size bottle.
The workshop end in the parfumerie where you can smell all the collection of perfume they have to offer and can buy some with a good discount because you made the workshop.
Fragonard parfumerie offers great quality perfume. If you're an addict like me, it's really hard to choose.

I recently did the Fragonard Perfume tour and workshop, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. While it might not be a deeply intense masterclass, it is a fun, easy, and accessible introduction to French perfumery. I really liked the process, was happy with the custom fragrance we created, and even bought another Fragonard scent afterward.

The absolute biggest selling point of this activity is its location and convenience. It is incredibly easy to bundle this with other neighborhood highlights. We paired it with a self-guided tour of the stunning Palais Garnier Opera House and a visit to Galeries Lafayette (including the famous Glasswalk).

Everything was just a short walk apart, making it stress-free to navigate. It didn't take up the whole day, left us with great souvenirs, and made for a truly wonderful, seamless day in Paris for both of us!

What a great activity for adults and children. You learn the basics of making perfume and then make your own. The tour of the small museum was very interesting and then testing all the different perfumes at the end was fun also. Had two 13 year old girls with me and they really loved doing this. Book ahead and it is definitely worth it.

It was quite obvious that our tour guide was knowledgeable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and workshop. Even my teenager nephew had a good time and dedicated himself to the creation of a new scent for his girlfriend! I felt a little rushed at the end to complete the perfume-making and get out for the next group, but my enjoyment of the experience dispels any negativity. I have a deeper appreciation for scents and components of perfume-making. From now on I'm sure that all future smelling of perfumes will be affected. Thank you so much for lightening our day during some highest temperatures in Paris!

The museum visit was great, but if you have extra time, I would suggest to check out the museum beforehand and listen to the audio guide. The guided tour of the workshop contains some of the same extra information, but not as informative as the audio guide. The guided tour was still very worth it.

This was such a great experience, and a great little escape from the Paris heat. Our guide was really knowledgeable and fun, we learned a lot of tips from her that we’ve been using every day since. Overall it was super enjoyable.

I would not recommend. Mixing the liquidstogether with no is was not fun, informative or an activity. The type was dull.

This was such a cool experience :) The Fragonard museum is in a good location in Paris, with stuff to do after as well. Plenty of availability throughout the day, and easy to book a spot. Our guide was great and gave us lots of info on the history of perfume, the differences in perfumes, and how to apply perfume. Making your own perfume was so fun! And after all that, we went down to the shop and got to test so many great perfumes, and our guide helped us pick out some really nice scents to take home! This feels so Parisian and like it's a must do if you have the time :)

The mini workshop was amazing and learned so much from combining the premix three notes to create my own variation of the scent. The museum Tour with explanation by the tour guide was very informative to prepare myself for the Loki workshop we did in a separate room. Highly recommend this activity. Very fun learning about fragrances and the mixology involved. You get to mix your own formula. Then a brief tour of the perfume museum was very interesting. I went with my three granddaughters - 14, 16, and 18 years old - who thoroughly enjoyed it.

I loved our guide. She was personable,, funny, knowledgeable. She told a humorous story about crying children and the French reaction. Later that evening we went out to dinner and exactly how she told the story was how my French cousins reacted when there was a screaming child in the restaurant. We will always remember her story!

It was very interesting to learn about the history of perfume. Everyone enjoyed it!

It's not really a perfume workshop, more a quick guided tour of the small museum and mixing a 15ml vial of the top, middle, and bottom notes of an existing EDT perfume. It might be interesting for someone who doesn't know anything about perfume.

The tour was short and sweet - the guide stopped in each room and provided a brief history of perfume with interesting tidbits. But there was a Japanese couple in my group talking loudly in Japanese amongst themselves, not even listening, which made it difficult to hear. So maybe there should be an option to just skip the tour - they clearly didn't care and just wanted to take photos of each other.
You also can't go inside the museum until the booking time, which felt silly because the museum was mostly empty and it's not like I haven't paid for entry. There were some placards near the exhibits providing further information, but I didn't get to read them because we weren't given any time to just look at things on the tour. We just listened to the guide for a bit and kept moving.

The workshop was almost a waste of time. We were given three vials of top, middle, and bottom notes and told to put them together into a 15ml vial, in the ratio of our choice. This gave us the opportunity to smell each layer individually, which was interesting. I put more bottom notes in my 15ml, and the guide explained she had made the same mistake before, but didn't explain why it was a mistake. Basically she only explained that the top notes are what you smell first, and after they evaporate, gradually the bottom notes come out. The most disappointing thing was, although I had screwed the vial lid on tight, it still came loose in my bag and the perfume spilt everywhere. I thought the size was perfect for travel, but it seems the bottle isn't designed to be carried around.

My bag smells amazing now though, and I really love the scent - L'Air de Grasse. I'm glad I bought the 50ml size separately, otherwise I'd be even more upset. But personally, I would recommend buying another perfume instead of doing this 'workshop'. It's not really worth the money, unless you just want to take photos pretending to make perfume. The Fragonard products themselves are much better value.

Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our tour and parfum-making workshop at Fragonard! Everyone loved making our own blend for an eau de toilette. What a fun and interesting visit!

It was a fun experience. However, we thought that we can freely create our own perfume. We were given 3 bottles to mix, we cannot change the main scents but had to stick with what was given.

Didn’t enjoy the experience at all. The guided tour covered only two rooms, took about 10 minutes, and included very basic information about the history of perfume bottles and ingredients — honestly, you could learn more by asking AI.

The storytelling wasn’t engaging either; it felt like the guide was just repeating a memorised script in a very flat way.

The “create your own perfume” part was also disappointing. Everyone was given the same three base options (very basic floral, citrus, and amber scents), so there wasn’t really any personalisation or creativity involved. In the end, everyone was basically making the same perfume.

Overall, no enjoyment at all. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time or money if you’re genuinely interested in perfumes.

J'ai été très déçue par le mini atelier de parfum. Le musée est visité très rapidement, peu de temps pour approfondir et poser des questions. Quant à l'atelier, ce n'en est pas un, tout est prêt on n'a qu'à verser trois volumes dans un flacon, sans même avoir des graduations assez précises pour avoir un résultat satisfaisant au final. This was a perfect activity for those who want to learn a bit more about perfume but not be bogged down by a multi-hour museum tour/lecture. The museum tour was short and sweet but covered all of the important components of the history of perfume. We also greatly enjoyed the opportunity to make our own scent and experience how the scent changes as you play around with the head notes, heart notes, and base notes. After we were finished making our own scent, we got some personalized guidance/attention to help select our perfect perfume in the store shop. We learned so much in a short amount of time and it was a perfect Mother's Day present for my sister and I to give our Mom while we were visiting Paris. The staff were also very friendly and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Paris!

L'histoire du parfum au travers du musée était intéressante mais un peu courte/rapide.
20 minutes pour l'atelier création de parfum sont un peu juste, 30 minutes seraient déjà mieux.

Fantastic experience! It was very educational while also being fun. So much was packed into a short amount of time so we felt like we got such a great experience without it taking a huge chunk of our day.

Naomi was an incredible guide and wealth of information, as well as being an enjoyable person. Kids and adults alike had a great experience. This was simple to book online.

Although creating our own perfume was not what I expected, I did find this tour to be worthwhile. The perfume workshop produced a fragrance that I could never wear… you will be mixing proportions of a predetermined fragrance. What does that mean? It means you will all come out with the same variation of an already existing perfume. You can’t really customize or mess this up. You’re walking out with some flowery stuff whether you want to or not. It’s a worthy souvenir to pass along at least! Sampling the rest of the perfumes at the end was fun. And our guide was entertaining.

This was a great experience! Our guide was very knowledgeable and the perfume workshop was super fun. One of the most exciting activities we did in Paris. The attached museum was also very cool to see. This experience was absolutely worth it!

Complete waste of time. The “workshop” barely had explanation other than pour this amount of each bottle into this other bottle. No info on specific fragrance notes or insight into fragrances at all. The instructor had zero energy and seemed frustrated with our group.

My daughter (10) and I had a wonderful time. Max was an excellent guide and resource throughout. We really enjoyed the museum, history of perfume and the Fragonard house, and making our own scents. It was really a treat to get to shop in the private boutique (separate from the retail boutique across the passage). Max and all the staff were very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and helped us find the exact fragrances we wanted. I would definitely recommend and would even go again if I had the change.

We had a really fun time at the perfume workshop. Our tour guide was super fun and friendly. We learned a lot. My only disappointment is we ordered 3 of the same 30ml perfume bottles in the shop after and one of the bottles must have been labeled incorrectly as it smelled totally different. Other than that I would recommend this tour. Great fun for teenage girls.

This workshop came highly recommended to me but my family and I were still skeptical. However, my husband and I along with our teenage son and daughter thought this was great. We liked both parts of creating our own scent and the museum. Not only do I think the experience is well done, I think it is especially worth a place on your Paris itinerary because it is a different from other traditional tourist activities. Glad we made time for this.

If you like perfumes, the tour is worth it - staff is really kind and nice.

Fun activity for our mother/daughter trip. The museum tour was short and interesting, learning about the history and production of perfume. The workshop was a nice end to the tour, and we enjoyed sampling different scents and buying some to bring home (though there was absolutely no pressure to buy, most people in our tour did). We were glad we did this. The entire experience takes about an hour, so it's easy to tack on to other sights.

We had a fun time making our perfumes and then shopping.

The tour of museum should have happened before the workshop to get more out of it it but they did it the other way. Myiinreallybdont get to make your own scent- just the amount of the 3 chosen scents they provide in this workshop.

I wasn't familiar with the brand before, and I found all the perfumes way too "grandma-y".

For it being advertised primarily as a perfume workshop, the time and resources you actually get for that part are negligible. You're given 3 scents that you can mix and match, and ~10 minutes to do so. Meanwhile, you spend at least that much time smelling samples of their perfume at the end of the tour in hopes you buy something.

Also, there's 1 bottle of each of the 3 scents you're sharing with 2 other people at your table... So you're also spending a good portion of the actual time to make your perfume waiting on the bottle you need.

I don't remember getting much of a warning that time was running out either, so it felt very sudden that they expected us to wrap up and move on. My friend that was with me wasn't anywhere near being done, and the guide was frankly not understanding or helpful at all. She just continued to try and rush her, which really ruined the whole experience (beyond it being disappointing already).

In the end, it felt overpriced for what you get and the scents this brand puts out I found offensively bad on average and ok but still not wearable at best.

Do not recommend

I expected to be able to curate a fragrance in some way. I understand is short so maybe just chose between a couple of top notes, or maybe have 2 or 3 combinations possible. Instead you are to guess the correct ratios to recreate a single fragrance or "create your own" but really, it is too difficult since you can't really smell it as you make it. I would have preferred a more formula based option with more accurate measurements and some options on the notes of the personal fragrance. If you don't like the notes you get, you are out of luck. Seeing that the museum is free, I saw little value added in the workshop itself. At least it was fun and the workshop leader was very nice.

The experience included a swift museum walkthrough, filled with interesting facts, and curious artifacts - not to long so you’re not exahausted. Following the mini workshop component was super enjoyable- blending our own fragrance - ending in the gift shop to purchase a very special gift! I attended with my teenage daughter and it was a perfect event to kick off the day!

Sascha was a fun and instructive tour guide. Very knowledgeable, great "anecdotes" and fun. The workshop is a bit short time-wise but we were happy with the samples we made to take home. Would highly recommend this for a fun and quick history tour via perfume!

The guide was nice and made a good presentation. The perfume of the year smells lovely.
But it was very hot inside which made it a bit hard to concentrate until the end.
Other than that, we all liked it and would recommend!

We couldn't catch her name but the tour guide with the blonde hair and hoop earrings on Mar 24, was super witty and inclusive!! She provided some amazing facts and was very funny. Definitely would recommend this tour to others!

Not a lot of smells to choose from

My daughters and I really enjoyed the guided museum tour and introduction to perfume making. Our guide was excellent; funny and engaging. It would have been fun to have more of a choice of scents when it came to making the perfume but I realize that would have required a lot more time. We learned a lot and had a great time!

What an amazing experience! This was my daughter's first trip to Paris and visiting a parfumerie was #1 on her list. Sasha was the perfect hostess. Her humor is unmatched and she was full of facts about the rich history of the perfume industry. I will definitely be recommending Fragonard to my friends.

I enjoyed doing the parfum and listening about the history. Despite the guide kindness their English was hard to understand. The workshop itself lasted less than 10 min. I thought we would have more fun doing the parfum. I also did not like the way the guide was pushing to sell parfum in the end of the tour. I would recommend the experience with this considerations in mind.

I found this on the Fragonard website and signed up for two spots. I really enjoyed the tour of the museum and learning about the company and the history of the fragrances. The mini perfume workshop was a lot of fun, and my husband enjoyed it! I have definitely already recommended this to friends who will be traveling in the area!

My sister and I participated in the mini perfume workshop this past week. We had a great time learning about the ingredients
used to make perfumes and then making our own small bottle of perfume at the workshop. I even purchased the small 5 spray perfume set. The perfumes are light and not at all overpowering like a lot of the department store perfumes.

Unique experience and not what I expected. I expected a way to individualize our scents but you get limited options, only three scents to choose from. Also I expected us sitting around and smelling all the scents. That is not the case. You stand around a barrel and have three scents to choose from and it is fast and sweet.

Booking was easy. The tour was excellent and very informative with the added bonus of creating my own perfume. Would highly recommend it. Thank you.

This experience was excellent. I surprised my wife with this and it was exactly what I wanted and expected. A short informational tour and the 20 minute workshop was great. Guide was clear and concise and took the time to ensure we understood the process and what the results would be.

The "mini Perfume Workshop" is a tourist trap. The "Museum" consists of 4 rooms. The guide speaks very bad English, so bad that sometimes I did not understand full sentences. They give you 3 different scents to make "your own" perfume. I was really disappointed.

My husband and I really enjoyed this perfume experience. We learnt a lot form the workshop and the guided tour. I discovered that I had a good 'nose' and my husband that he knew the answers to most of the questions! Sampling the Fragonard perfumes was a convivial way to close the tour.

Our experience was enhanced by our excellent tour guide, whose name I can't quite remember, but I do remember she was from Polish- French descent. She was lively, knowledgeable and amusing and made the whole tour more enjoyable! It was good value for money. We will be recommending it to everyone we know!

Our experience was truly wonderful! The tour guide was knowledgeable, engaging,and was able to answer all posed questions. The museum was beautiful, and we learned some interesting facts and pieces of information. The displays within the museum showed very interesting souvenirs and examples of the items discussed on the tour. The process of making a perfume was also incredibly fun, engaging, and a wonderfully unique experience.

Whilst the workshop was advertised in English, we found it almost impossible to understand the guide, she was very nice but she spoke far too quietly and with a heavy accent and a mask it was impossible to understand her.

We attended with our two teenage nephews. We all had a fantastic experience from creating the perfume to exploring the museum. The only downside was that the perfume we created leaked afterwards - all 5 of them.

A fun idea and activity with my 21 year old daughter however I felt that the tour itself which was interesting was far too rushed. There was no opportunity to read about the different things on the walls in the actual exhibit and the tour guide spoke so fast and had such a thick accent it was at times difficult to understand her. While it was an enjoyable break from the many art museums we visited it could definitely be improved by giving visitors some time in each room of the exhibit to actually see what they are there to see. Not sure I would recommend to friends visiting Paris for these reasons.

This was such an enjoyable experience for me, my daughter and her friend on our first trip to Paris. They are absolutely enamored with perfumes right now so this was a perfect opportunity to learn, create and shop! The cost made this an incredible value and being able to make our own scent and to purchase affordable scents to take home and give as memorable gifts was definitely a highlight of our trip.

This was one of the most memorable activities we partook in during our time in Paris. All the information we received about the history and process of perfume-making in Grasse and France in general is alone well worth the money, not to mention the great experience we had with the hands-on mini workshop (and the time we had at the end sampling Fragonard's beautiful perfumes in the store!). Our guide was friendly and personable, as well as extremely experienced and knowledgeable. Can't recommend this enough.

Our workshop leader was absolutely phenomenal at her job -- she was funny, energetic and patient throughout the experience. We started with a tour of the museum in which she provided us some interesting historical facts, sprinkled with funny commentary every now and then. The workshop was really fun: my partner and I got to play around with the different scents and craft our own perfume smell which was really cool. At the end, she recommended us some perfumes to buy and we did -- we got the Belle de Nuit and Diamant bottles (absolutely divine). Thank you so much for this experience, it was definitely a highlight of our trip!

I think for this price — what’s not to like? I only think that the whole thing was a little bit rushed, I didn’t have time to finish my perfume (only have half of the bottle) and I wish we had more time to observe the museum. But overall I would recommend this experience to everyone who is keen on perfumes and their history!

Convenient to get to, beautiful interior. Tour before the workshop was rushed and hard to hear the tour guide, who spoke softly and had to compete with guests exploring the museum and carrying on loud conversations. The open concept of the museum also added to the noise - closed doors between the rooms would have been helpful here. The workshop itself was fun, but also felt rushed, and was less creative than we were expecting with only 3 ingredients to work with. It didn’t leave much room for personalization or tailoring your fragrance to your specific preferences. The end of the tour ended in the boutique and it felt like that was the actual focus of the visit, introducing us to the full range of fragrance for purchase. Overall we were pleased to have attended, but would have appreciated a slower pace with more options to utilize in the workshop.

The tour and class were both exceptional. We were a party of 4 in an English speaking group of about 15. The class size was perfect, our guide was fantastic, quick but also thorough which was perfect as we only had 2 days in Paris with lots to see and do. Our family loved this experience and put it at the top of our list for the trip.

My Girls and I loved our class and perfume making. Myself and my three girls enjoyed learning the history and then had a great time replicating a scent! The history was just long enough for my girls to stay engaged as well as the perfume making portion. We loved smelling many of the scents in the boutique as well as making a purchase. I enjoyed going through the museum and learning about the history of perfume-making. It's always nice. I like making my own version of the year's scent.

I did not like it after the workshop, and purchasing perfume this time. I found the “timeshare”-type pressure put on workshop participants to buy a box of different perfume fragrances to split between us to receive a discount very unpleasant. I felt very pressured and unable to purchase the scent I wanted, so much so that I decided I would not buy any at all after trying to buy the one I wanted. It was ridiculous. Either offer a discount for those who do the workshop or don't, but that was a horrible experience, and I will not participate in such a manipulative tactic.

I really enjoyed the tour and the perfume workshop! Our guide explained everything very well and knew a lot about the history of perfumery. However, I would have liked more information about how the distillation process works and more perfume notes as options for our own perfume; there was one for each note (top, heart, and base notes). Overall, it was a very well-put-together experience!

Wonderful workshop with a lovely tourguide and relaxed atmosphere. You can mix your own parfum and shop afterwards with a good discount, but you don't have to buy anything if you don't want to.

Not so much to our taste pallet. Service is excellent but food choices are ok. Nothing special. Taste is just normal not outstanding.

The tour and perfume class were interesting. Our guide was impressively capable, very well informed and quite a talented linguist. Although I was eager to create my own personalized scent, I discovered that the group was limited on the type of perfume that we could create. We all ended up concocting a version of this year's citrus-based scent. I purchased five various perfume scents and also am in possession of the cologne we fabricated in the class. I am a bit disappointed because it seems that the perfume does not have the staying power on the skin (compared to the ones I purchased years before when I visited the Fragonard perfume house). I currently have a cold, so perhaps that is what the problem is, but the scent seemed to disappear after a few hours, whereas the ones I purchased from my first visit in 1995 (of which I still own two bottles) are as potent today as they were 30 years ago. This alone is a glowing testament to the Fragonard brand. My aim is to test the product over the next few weeks, and if my nose is the problem, I will definitely be back since the fleur d'orange perfume is fantastic and I definitely feel as if I can not live without a larger bottle.

My friend and I spent a week in Paris and happened upon this perfume workshop when looking for idea of rainy day things to do online. I'm not sure what I expected initally, but I was pleasantly surprised! We learned a lot about making perfume and the history behind it, something I hadn't been interested in but am now super curious about. The experience of being there was so wonderful, and our little bottle that we made was our favourite souvenir of the trip. I highly recommend it and would do it again!

Les informations qu'on avait recues sur les parfums étaient très intéressantes et le tour guidé dans le musée aussi. Mais les dernières 15 minutes de notre sejour ce n'était qu'un événement de vente. Cela était décevant et a diminué le plaisir de notre expérience considérablement.

Our presenter was knowledgeable when discussing the history of perfumery and essence. Loved making our own eau de toilette. Love overall Fragonard’s various eau de Parfum. Definitely worth the experience and would 100% recommend it

The workshop was led by very experienced and nice tutor, so from this perspective we would definitely recommend to friends and others. But .. there is a huge problem, how the whole thing is advertised. I have no problem paying for two people when I send there my 13 years old daughter, but I want to know about it in advance. The advertisiment in english is not saying anything about a need of a second ticket, it is saying complete opposite! That you can send there kids from 8 years of age based on a condition of paying adult. Yes, Im adult and I paid - for her ticket! Even the boy in the inviting room is extremely annoyed about this as based on his own words he must argue with people several times a day and even with french people! For me how it is set up is unbelievably misleading. And I feel sorry for the fantastic lady, who leads the workshop and for the poor boy who needs to defend this ..

Our guide was excellent, and the museum was very interesting. I just wish we had a bit more time to explore the exhibits before the perfume workshop.

I did not realize there would be so many children in this tour and probably would have said no to it if I had known that many children would participate.

The young man leading the workshop appeared bored and not at all interested in doing it. We could have gotten more out of the museum if we’d toured it ourselves and read the information. His delivery was perfunctory and dry. We felt as if we were inconveniencing him by being there.

To begin with: our guide was really good! She was both enthousiastic and communicative. The tour around the museum was really interesting and gave a good insight of how perfumes evolved through time. The workshop was a rather disappointing as this was too pre-cooked and superficial! Please offer a better and expanded workshop in English. I would have preferred to be challenged instead of ‘being pushed into a mound’ so to speak.

The workshop at Fragonard is worth every penny. It is a truly lovely boutique style museum. Creating your own fragrance is fun and a unique experience when in Paris

I have visited Paris since I was a kid and now that I have children we are continuing the tradition. We have explored a huge amount of the city, but we are always delighted when we find new and interesting things to do! The tour and mini workshop definitely fits that description. My partner and I were fascinated by the history of the perfume world, and my 10 and 12 year old LOVED mixing their own versions of the perfume (and so did we!). It was a really great way to spend an hour or two and I strongly recommend it.

The first part is the guided museum tour. The museum is free to the public. The actual workshop to make the perfume is disappointing. It's just one scent and everyone makes a super tiny bottle of the same exact thing.

Totally not worth the money

As a quick introductory perfume workshop this was good for the price. It takes about an hour all in - first going through the small museum with your guide and then having the opportunity to learn about their newest fragrance and create it yourself. This is not a workshop where you are given lots of different ingredients to create your own unique fragrance, that would require a much longer session, but it is fun to do and you get to take home your own 15ml sample.
There were quite a few young men in our group and it isn’t possible to create a more ‘manly’ perfume so that could be a bit disappointing for them.

This was a quick and enjoyable way to get in another French-inspired experience - making you own "perfume". Fun hour spent learning about the notes that make up a fragrance and then you get to create your own fragrance using 3 notes provided by the Fragonard house. Afterwards, there is a tour of the facility and a chance to purchase other Fragonard fragrances. Well coordinated and moves quickly.

Fun activity. It would have been nice to have more options of fragrances to add to the perfume we made. But overall, my kids liked it.

The location and building was beautiful. The activity was very basic. Instead of mixing scents to create an individualized signature perfume we were given only three scents to recreate a specific scent. I wanted to be more creative and individualized. I could choose to alter quantities of. The three scents provided to my taste but I had hoped for more options.

I would highly recommend to friends. It was straight forward to book and having the ticket on my phone was convenient . It was well organized and felt value for money . Held in beautiful workshop and museums echoing the architecture of the palace grainier. The host was informative , approachable and entertaining and we left with a personal sample of the perfume we mixed . We had an opportunity to buy as they made perfect gift and souvenirs of Paris. There was nothing not to like .

In the workshop itself we would have appreciated a bit more guidance. We were not told the ratio between the perfume notes, so now we were just mixing, not knowing what we were doing. Which was unfortunate.

This experience was easy to book and located in a great area. The atmosphere was also perfect. The experience was not exactly what we expected. It may be good to have clearer explanation that you are not creating your own fragrance but instead trying to re-create an exiting fragrance. Half hour also felt there was not enough time. Visited the Musee and attended the perfume workshop. Great value and experience with friends/family. Mariam, our instructor and guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Fragonard was founded in 1926 by a former Parisian notary, Eugène Fuchs, in one of the oldest factories in the city, originally built by perfumer Claude Mottet in 1841. The firm is named after the local painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard, the son of the parfumer at the court. The first Parisian boutique was opened in 1936. Today, Anne, Agnès and Françoise are the masters of Maison Fragonard's destiny.

My 10-year-old daughter, a close friend, and I participated in the mini perfume workshop. It was so fun and we learned all about how perfumes are made, how to wear them, and the history of perfume. Our instructor was helpful and knowledgeable. It was great activity during our first trip to Paris.

The perfume workshop and museum tour at Frangonard were a highlight of my trip to Paris! The facility is beautiful, and the museum has so many fascinating and gorgeous exhibits. It was so interesting to learn about the history of fragrance, and also to have a chance to learn about the manufacturing process. The workshop offered a really fun opportunity to try fragrance-making, and what a fun souvenir to take home -- a perfume you made yourself! I will be recommending this to any friends visiting Paris in future.

Such a beautiful venue, and the person who showed us how to blend the flagrance was excellent.
However, we had only 20 minutes for the workshop which is including her to explain us about what we're going to do, & how to do it. We had 1 each of base note, middle note & top note to blend to make our own au de toilet. So, we all were making same au de toilet, but in different ratio of top, middle & base note. I wish if we could have more selection of those notes to add our own taste.

Everything about this experience was wonderful. It was easy to book, a reasonable price, the workshop was a lot of fun, and the tour of the museum was also very enjoyable. We loved the experience.

We had a great time! I made a mistake when booking and booked it to the wrong day. As soon as I noticed I sent an email asking if they could change my reservation. They were quick on fixing my error. I’m really glad that happened otherwise I would have missed this pleasant experience. I liked everything about it: knowing and experiencing how perfume are made during the workshop (loved the perfume I made to myself) and then the guided museum visit! I love to be more interactive while I travel, like going on walking, tasting, and biking tours vs. just strolling through a museum, e.g. So when I read about this, where you get to make your own perfume while learning about the different elements of the scents, I was really excited! TBH, I had low expectations because the price is so great for the experience you get. Our instructor was really knowledgeable, helpful, and funny. I learned so much about fragrance! Then the little tour around the history of perfumes and the store was also really interesting. Highly, highly recommend this!

Fabulous Experience !!!!!

The experience, staff, ambiance, and random group of perfume-appreciating patrons was delightful. A must-do when in Paris! The only downside was having to rush out of one of the antique items rooms as another group entered before our guide was finished.

It’s a little expensive, but manageable. I liked the mini class on making our own perfume. The guide was excellent. I love the upstairs museum, but we went through so fast, there was really no time to examine the displays. Booking was fairly easy online. I do recommend this offer! It is a one hour experience.

I attended the English speaking workshop in July with my teenage son & daughter's visitors from NYC. The tour guide was very informative and educational from teaching all components that are involved in making a perfume. It was designed for guests to easily understand and customize their own scent. We got to learn the differences between perfume, cologne etc as well. I would highly recommend this experience when visiting Paris!

The lady who gave the tour was delightful and welcoming and gave an engaging and fun talk and explained the activity clearly. My 12 year old daughter really enjoyed it too and it was great to buy your lovely perfume at a special price at the end. Thank you, recommend!

Our instructor guided us through discovering one of their signature scents and then we tried our hand at combining the elements of the scent into our own unique blend. My kids thought that they would get free range to create a completely unique scent, so I mention the parameters so you can set expectations and avoid tween disappointment. The perfume-making workshop was very enjoyable for me and my two teenage daughters. It was conducted in an interesting and accessible way. We learned many fascinating things about the structure of perfumes. The guided museum tour was an additional pleasant surprise. It was great to learn how to properly apply perfume. The instructor was extremely kind and knowledgeable. The only thing that surprised us was that every group created the same fragrance. We had expected to be able to choose from several different scents.

My daughter and I had a great time learning how to make perfume and touring the museum. Our guide was excellent and my perfume smelled to me like a version of a very expensive perfume I once smelled (so I was proud). Overall a wonderful experience in Paris!

Everything is setup ahead of time for the group to optimize time, and it is fun and simple to do. We learned so much from our tour guide about French culture and history with perfume, ranging from aromatherapy methods like essential oil distillation and how the different scents and origins for scents range all over the world. I loved the way our Workshop coordinator had explained about the entire process of perfume making. It was a learning experience for me to know that the perfume was based on the piano notes - top note, base note and low note. Loved the step by step explanation of the process and enjoyed identifying the ingredients that were present in the different notes..
The duration of the workshop was perfect. We learned the basic theory and the process and then we prepared the perfume by mixing the notes as per the type of strength of the fragrance that we wanted.
It was a great fun learning experience. It made me feel connected to know that many ingredients were from India.
We were late for our slatted time slot but were accommodated in a later time slot. That was really good.
Both me and my daughter had registered for the workshop and we both learnt and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience.

The workshop and tour was great to do on a "Girls Day". I took my 10YO and 12YO daughters and they loved learning about perfume and making their own. The Mini workshop is good if you're short on time or for younger children and next time I would do a more in depth workshop in Paris or Grasse.

I think it would be a great addition if the Tour Guide could explain; how fashion designers seek out Perfumers to make their perfumes; how many Perfumers there are in France; how many perfumes are there in the world and how perfume manufacturers there are in France and where Fragonard sits within the industry.

I came in not knowing any basics in perfumery but left knowing so much.
Our teacher was kind and explained all the moving parts in depth. Very much appreciated. If you love perfume, take part in the workshop so that your heart notes may sing and your top notes may dance.

Loved learning about the scents and how to build a perfume. We loved the scents and it was so fun making our own perfume! It was a great activity for all (including my kids ages 10 and 11). The museum was also fascinating!

To start by making our own scent was a perfect way to submerge into the world of fragrance. Our workshop was followed by a guided tour with a knowledgeable and charming guide. We ended in the boutique where we sampled some classic and new fragrances (and left with a few purchases of course!).

The perfume making class was well run, organised, informative and friendly. We took our teenagers with us to also participate - the youngest is 11 years old - and we all enjoyed it and the tour of the museum afterwards. Highly recommend for something fun to do in Paris. I liked the class a lot and the instructer herself explained everything extremely well. However, there were limited options to create your perfume and the bottle is like the size of a tester bottle. But after the class we got a small tour of the museum and she explained the different time periods, items....... But after the class my bottle of perfume leaked in my bag and the whole thing was wasted, not sure if it was because of me not closing it or the bottle was not secure.

What an absolutely enjoyable experience. Of course they push selling perfume at the end, but why not? You have the choice to buy or not. We were surprised and off put by the aggressive sales pitch at the end. Observing the woman's body language and faster speech she even seemed uncomfortable in the sales role.
I suggest that if there will be an aggressive sell at the end, the teacher will do herself a favor notifying the class that when we go into the store she will be offering Fragonard products. You are made to feel like a captive audience. It is very uncomfortable especially with a teen who want to buy everything!
