Making my own perfume was on my must-do list, and this experience did not disappoint. It was fun, hands-on, and I really enjoyed creating a fragrance that was uniquely mine. I highly recommend it if you’re visiting Cannes!

Très bonne activité à faire seul ou à plusieurs, l’experte est de très bon conseil, et explique parfaitement l’histoire du parfum, comment il est créé, les senteurs en pyramide, etc. Elle nous laisse prendre notre temps pour composer au mieux notre parfum !

Enjoyed this experience very much! Was a lovely activity to do while visiting Cannes. Appreciated that it was an almost private experience and the woman that ran it was very nice.

It’s a bit of an overwhelming sensory experience given you are trying to narrow down your preferences in a fairly short time frame. I chose the one hour workshop and we had a ten minute intro, followed by about twenty minutes to choose and label about ten scents. These are separated into various categories including top notes and bottom notes. There are almost one hundred scents offered, so it feels a little rushed. However, I can also see that having the time limit is important because you can start overthinking your choices. It did force me to pick scents more instinctively.

Part 2: they help you narrow down what should be included and I found this to be the most interesting part. Just taking away one note/replacing it completely changes the entire profile very dramatically. They then break down how much of each scent should be included in your bottle and show you how to measure it. The plastic dispensers are a bit tricky and I had a hard time getting the exact measurements. This all takes another 20-25 minutes. Afterwards they close it up and shake the bottle and explain that you should not use it for a week in order to let the perfume fully mature.

It’s definitely an experience I would recommend to anyone that enjoys perfumes. I wish it included a bit more history of the Molinard perfume house, and the person running the workshop was also in charge of running the register downstairs in the shop, so I felt she was a bit distracted. But otherwise, it was a really lovely experience and I actually ended up with a signature scent that I like quite a bit. The coolest part is they will keep this unique code in their system and you can then order your custom scent any time!

Après avoir testé l'atelier Découverte (40 essences proposées) pendant les fêtes de fin d'année, nous avons testé la version Classique (90 essences proposées). Il s'agissait d'un cadeau pour fêter le diplôme de ma fille. J'ai donc réservé pour toutes les femmes de la famille, nous étions 6. Nous avons toutes passé un moment exceptionnel, chacune de nous est enchantée de sa création olfactive et surtout je tiens à remercier Jade pour sa gentillesse, son professionnalisme et ses conseils. Je le recommande vivement à toutes celles et ceux qui souhaitent créer leur propre signature olfactive.

My daughter and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at L’Atelier Classique Cannes! The workshop was one of the highlights of our trip to Cannes. The representative was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and made the entire process so much fun. We learned so much about the art of creating a fragrance and loved every minute of it.
The session doesn’t take too much time, which makes it perfect even if you’re on a tight schedule. And it’s totally worth it. The best part? They keep your personalized formula on file, so if you fall in love with your creation (which we both did!), you can easily order your custom perfume again in the future.
Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Cannes! A truly memorable and unique activity!

This was an interesting and very fun activity. Some have noted being rushed, but I was with only 2 other people and we were able to stay for longer than the allotted one-hour time. You are given a brief introduction to designing a scent, which involves a top, middle and bottom note. You then are given time to smell the many scents and pick out those that appeal to you. The staff is very helpful and talented in grouping your choices so that you find a combination that is unique and pleasing to you. Very fun. I highly recommend this activity. Providing a 20% discount on other purchases during the day of the workshop was an added bonus. I had no problem booking the workshop on line, and when I needed to change the day and time that was also not a problem.

Hi! I'm very happy to have such an exciting experience!
It was great, but I felt a lack of time to discover all the aromas. And after I didn't get how proportion was combined, as this part was really interesting for me.
I would much appreciate the opportunity to thanks my curator of process that she gave me additional time to finish this operation of completing the final result.
And yes, at the beginning it was complicated to get the ticket (as web site does not optimized for mobile ), I've manage it, not sure about others.
But it was worth to get to the point and have my personal aroma!
Thanks for this adventure and hope to have such an amazing experience again.

Excellent experience for the entire family

This was something I wanted to do as an avid enthusiast. My kids were semi-interested but gave it a shot. Long story short they all said it was their favorite thing we did while in Europe! Personally, I was nervous about how my custom scent would turn out but after letting it dry for a few hours it smells amazing on the test strips. I’m waiting the recommended week before wearing it but I can’t wait to wear it and be able to tell people that it’s a custom-made scent that I designed myself. Honestly, the only draw back to me is that I’m in the US and I want to make more for different seasons and occasions—guess I’ll have to go back to Europe again soon. The two ladies that assisted us were amazing and helped me whittle down the several different scents into a combination that I liked. I’m honestly amazed at how they could take so many different scents that I liked and find a combination that worked and then were able to create the precise amounts of each to create the final scent. If you’re into cologne/perfume I highly recommend it, as I said even my kids (all teenagers) loved it.

Best experience you can do as a couple

I decided this would be a cute date idea to do with my girlfriend, as my final days in Canne since we don’t live near each other! It’s something I think we won’t ever forget for the rest of our lives.. creating a perfume together and trying to find what works, what doesn’t, what’s our favorite scents and figuring out the type of perfume she truly likes and wants was amazing! We did trial and error on all the scents she picked out until we got the one she loved and that was honestly the best experience especially seeing her smile! If you’re a couple please buy this asap you’ll never regret your decision! I promise you and even if you’re doing it solo it’s an amazing experience! I highly recommend:) -Stuart and marine

Lovely experience to see how many scents are available and learn what you, individually, like.
Be aware that this is not an in-depth experience though, and there is not much instruction: It's more of a brief intro of what you will do, followed by showing you how to fill the bottle after the salesperson makes the formula/recipe. You do walk out with a custom perfume, which is wonderful, but if you are looking for more of an understanding and asking questions type activity, this is not it.
I felt rushed throughout.

Décevant très mauvaise accueil atelier gâché

Très mauvais accueil nous avons souhaité faire cet atelier en famille pour passer un moment de partage convivial mais ce moment a été gâché par la responsable de l'atelier qui a été très antipathique, qui a instauré un climat tendu et a clairement gâché notre moment de création en famille! Cest vraiment dommage car l'atelier était sympa mais au vu de la sympathie de la personne clairement a fuir car dans ce genre d'atelier la personne a une grande importance.

The 3 of us created unique scents.

We did the 60 minute class. It was only me and my two daughters and that was amazing. The instructor said that the class can be up to 10 people. Personally I can't imagine doing the class with so many. Even with only the 3 of us, we ran 10 minutes overtime. I don't know how much I would have enjoyed it if there had been more people. The class requires a lot of one on one attention and also the room is pretty small. So I suggest that when you book, you make sure that the class is not full. We didn't really learn that much about perfume. The focus is on picking the scents you like . Then the instructor suggests combinations. She explained that she does this "by intuition." So if your goal is really learn about perfume, this is will not be satisfying. But if your goal is create a unique scent that is perfect for you, then you will love it.

J’ai récemment participé à un atelier de création de parfums chez Molinard - Cannes , et ce fut un véritable enchantement, notamment grâce à la personne qui animait l’atelier. Elle nous a guidés avec passion et bienveillance tout au long de cette activité immersive et sensorielle
Le moment le plus magique reste bien sûr la création de mon propre parfum.
Avec une vaste sélection d’essences de haute qualité, j’ai pu exprimer ma créativité en choisissant des notes qui me ressemblaient.
Repartir avec mon parfum unique, fait sur-mesure, fut la cerise sur le gâteau. Chaque fois que je le porte, il me rappelle cette expérience exceptionnelle.
